Autumn in New York: South Central Park
This is the third part in my series, Autumn in New York, featuring my favorite places to experience Autumn in NYC. This post features skyline views from the South part of Central Park. It’s really the best of both worlds, the beauty of the park and all the fall foliage, with the skyscrapers in the background. South Central Park maybe doesn’t sound that specific to you, but the truth is, you get stunning views from several places in the south part of the park. Looking towards midtown Manhattan, you see a lot of tall buildings towering over the trees. It really is a beautiful spot anytime of year, but during the autumn months, the autumn leaves really add that extra beauty.
Some of the photos below are of the ice skating rink and some rocky areas that give you beautiful spots to see the city. I took all these photos with my iphone, and I took them at the end of October, 2019.
Click this map to see the exact location of the ice rink. All of these views below are from around this area.

The skating rink is a beautiful spot to view the trees and the buildings.
This is another view, these people are all watching the skaters.
This spot is always really busy with people taking pictures. Because of the beautiful view, you are lucky if you get a picture without other people in it.
I hope you enjoyed this post. Have you ever been to this section of Central Park? If so, what is your favorite part? Comment below.
