Fun at the Bronx Zoo
New York City has so many fun things to do, which is why my NYC bucket list is so long! #17 on my bucket list was a visit to the Bronx Zoo. After doing some research, we got an annual pass to the New York Zoo’s which included one year admission to:
The Bronx Zoo
The Central Park Zoo
The Queens Zoo
The Prospect Park Zoo
The New York Aquarium (see my post on the aquarium visit!)
The Bronx Zoo is a really beautiful place. The grounds are lush and green, with beautiful vegetation and flowers everywhere. You don’t feel like you are in New York City when you are walking around the Zoo. I learned that it’s the largest metropolitan Zoo in the world. They support wildlife conservation and educating people about animals around the world and the needs they have. It’s nice to see people learning about animals and the things we can do to help support these causes.
If you are planning a visit, I definitely recommend doing your research on the annual pass vs single tickets. Depending on how many people are going and if you live in the area, it may be a better value to get an annual pass which includes free parking and admission to the other parks for the same price you might be paying for one visit.
Here are some photos I took from one of our trips to the Bronx Zoo (we’ve been a couple times).

Beautiful flowers at the Zoo
You can take this little train through part of the Zoo. It takes you high above several animals. Their enclosures are really big so they can roam.
