Yankees vs. Red Sox April 12, 2015

Sunday April 12, 2015 was my first Yankees game of the 2015 season! I love the Yankees. It’s a pride I’ve come to love through my husbands love of the Yankees. When I went to my first ever Yankees game in the Bronx, I felt that intoxicating NYC spirit, and I’ve been hooked ever since. Yankee Stadium in the Bronx is legendary. I was lucky enough to go to my first game at the old Yankee Stadium in May 2008. The Yankee pride is strong and I love it. From the train ride into the Bronx, to Monument Park, it all gives you goose bumps. I may not be the biggest sports fan out there, but I love the Yankees from a New York lovers heart. NYC runs through my veins, even though I wasn’t born in NY, and my first visit was when I was 18, I feel like I belong. It’s my home. I was made for NYC.

Sunday nights game was Yankees vs Red Sox! Knowing they are such big rivals it was an extra fun game to be a part of, on top of opening week AND A-Rod’s first season back. The first inning was amazing, with the Yankees scoring 7 runs! The night was a success with the home team beating the Red Sox 14-4! The temps were a little chilly, but we didn’t care, we were just excited to be part of this special night in the Bronx.
